Any lingering rain and drizzle in the east and north will clear early tonight and it will become dry countrywide under clearing skies. According to Met Éireann it will be cooler than recent nights with lows of 2-6°C.

Tomorrow, Friday, will see a mostly cloudy day in eastern and southern parts of the country. There will also be patchy drizzle, mainly about high ground in southern and southeastern coastal counties. Sunny breaks will occur further west and northwest, especially during the morning and also through the late afternoon. Continuing mild, with highs of 12-15°C.
