While we may be enjoying one of the warmest days of the year, three separate yellow rainfall warnings were issued by Met Eireann on Thursday. The first is for Leinster, Cavan and Monaghan where 20-30mm of rain is expected. The forecast is for widespread rain in the region with thundery downpours for a time on Saturday.

Donegal

The second warning is for Donegal where heavy thundery rain from Friday night until Saturday evening may lead to accumulations of 20-30mm with higher amounts likely in mountainous areas.

Locally up to 50mm is possible

The third warning is for Connacht, Clare, Cork, Kerry and Limerick. Thundery rain from Friday evening until early Saturday could lead to accumulations of 25-40mm generally. Locally up to 50mm is possible according to Met Eireann.
