Over a dozen farmers who placed orders for machinery from Akpil Ireland are still waiting for delivery of their equipment.

Some have made full payment for the machines, mostly disc harrows, while others have made full payment. Some of the orders extend back to late 2018 and others were made in early 2020.

On Sunday 1 March, a meeting took place in Enniscorthy between over a dozen affected farmers, Des Walsh of Akpil Ireland, and representatives of Akpil from Poland.

Commitments were made that production of the machinery concerned would take place once money was forwarded from Akpil Ireland to the manufacturer. Farmers are now anxiously waiting for those commitments to be met.
