DISCOVER the talent of Dietrich Blodau, and be amazed at his astounding artwork entitled “A Life of Observations”, which is on display at The Hunt Museum, Limerick, until 14 January. Dietrich is a recognised artist in Ireland, and his exhibition gives a unique opportunity to view a body of his works, many of which have never been publicly displayed. To mark Dietrich’s 80th birthday, this retrospective of his work is to honour not only his artistic achievements, but also the contribution he made over four decades to the development of the arts in Ireland. WITNESS the heroic efforts of the swimmers of Swilly Seals Swimming Club, Letterkenny, as members attempt to swim the distance of the Donegal Wild Atlantic Way on 3 December. This is a fundraising event to raise much-needed funds for the club, which otherwise faces closure in June 2018. Get out and show your support for those taking part and, as a way of giving back, Swilly Seals Swimming Club is going to donate 25% of the funds that they raise to three charities including the Donegal Hospice.
