I heard a rumour the board of New Zealand’s Livestock Improvement Corporation (LIC) is in Ireland this week for a meeting with key Irish AI stakeholders. Last month it was reported LIC had spent NZ$20.7m (€12m) on “transformation costs”. Changes to key personnel are surely part of this. This number pales into insignificance when compared with the losses for the Fonterra write-down on Chinese investments.
