Kick-starting this Friday the British Charolais Cattle Society will host their premier northern sale in Dungannon Farmers' Mart. This sale consists of 68 males and 10 females. The sale will also attract two production sales from the Hillview Farm and Glencoe herds.

Onto the Saturday, Irish Charolais Cattle Society hold the first of their autumn sales in Tullamore. This sale sees a bumper catalogue of 123 bulls.

Also taking place on Saturday 3 November the Irish Simmental Cattle Society will hold their Premier Show and Sale in Roscommon.

Kick-starting at 8am, the sale will attract 56 bulls and 82 heifers and includes a draft from the Carbery herd.

Finally the Aberdeen Angus Cattle Society will be bringing their Northern Ireland calf show to Dungannon on Saturday also.

Week two

Heading onto the following weekend and on Friday evening 9 November the Munster branch of Irish Angus heads to Kilmallock for their autumn sale. This sale consists of nine males and 17 females.

The Charolais breed is back in action on Saturday 10 November when their elite heifer sale takes place in Tullamore.

This specialised female sale broke out on its own last year having always sold alongside the bulls at the Christmas Cracker. A total of 85 heifers will be offered, with premiums paid to the purchasers of the high sellers.

Closing off a busy weekend, the Irish Hereford Breed Improvement Society host their national calf show in Tullamore on Sunday 11 November

The Irish Shorthorn Cattle Society will again host their premier show and sale at Roscommon Mart.

Taking place on Saturday 10 November, the sale has attracted a catalogue of 18 males and 41 females.

Finally, just up the road from the Shorthorn premier, the Irish Aberdeen Angus Association will host their premier the same day in Carrick-on-Shannon.

Closing off a busy weekend, the Irish Hereford Breed Improvement Society host their national calf show in Tullamore on Sunday 11 November.

This event always attracts the best polled and horned young stock.
