The farms are being sold by Murtagh Bros and go for auction on Thursday 21 October at 3pm.

The residential farm is at Skeaghmore. The location is 16km outside Mullingar.

To find the farm, from Mullingar take the R392 Ballymahon road, continue to Skeagh Hill, turn right at the bottom of Skeagh hill and the house is on the right-hand side after 200m.

The non-residential holding of 30ac is at Painstown, Rathconrath.

This is the 30ac holding with old yard and cattle crush at Painstown.

The auctioneers describe the land as excellent quality and renowned for its fattening abilities. There is road frontage. The guide price on this farm is €250,000.

The land is in permanent pasture. It is in one block and laid out in four main fields. There is an old yard with some small farm buildings and a cattle crush on the land.

The farm will be offered at auction in lots as follows. Lot 1 will be 23ac with a cattle crush and with road frontage. Lot 2 will be seven acres and lot three will be the entire.

To locate this farm, from Mullingar, take the R393 Ballynacargy road. After 1.6km on the Mullingar side of Ballynacargy, turn left on to the L5905. The land will be on the left-hand side some 3km after crossing Laragh Hill.
