Two farms for sale in Co Cork

Two blocks of farmland have just come on the market in Co Cork and are already under active negotiation.

One is 93ac near Ladysbridge, the other 22.46ac near Carrignavar.

They are for sale by private treaty from CCM Property. Both are non-residential.

Land with road frontage at Rockvale

The 93ac holding is at Rockvale, Gortcorcoran. The location is approximately 6km out the R633 from Ladysbridge. There is road frontage on a local road. The land is a five-minute drive from the N25 Cork to Rosslare route. This is an executor sale.

It is in one block and has been leased out over a long period. The land has been under tillage and grass. It is currently under 60ac of maize with the balance in grass. The River Womanagh bounds part of the grassland portion of the holding.

The guide price is €12,000/ac for the maize ground, €8,000/ac for the grassland or €10,000/ac for the entire. The auctioneer may sell the two portions separately as there is adequate road frontage. Auctioneer Eamon O’Brien said that an offer of €9,000/ac has already been made for the entire. No closing date has been set for offers.

Land at Ballybrack with entitlements

The second block of farmland for sale is 22.46ac at Ballybrack, Carrignavar. The location is about 10km north of Cork city, in a good dairy farming area.

This is good-quality grassland, in one block. It is well fenced and has electricity laid on plus water supply from a well. The ground has road frontage.

The holding is an outside block of land that has been farmed by the owner who is now scaling back. The land is offered for sale with vacant procession. It is in good condition.

There is a Basic Payment entitlement of approximately €3,000 per annum – purchase of these entitlements is optional.

The guide price for this holding was €250,000 or €11,000/ac but an offer equal to €16,500/ac has now been made, Eamon O’Brien said. The closing date for offers for this holding is 19 November.
