Robert Ramsay and Lesley Wylie have joined the SAC beef and sheep team. Lesley Wylie previously worked as a livestock procurement officer for ABP in Perth for over six years.

“I am very passionate about the beef industry which led me to my career change from chartered accountancy to livestock procurement and now to a beef consultant with SAC Consulting,” says Wylie, who will be based in the Forfar office.

In recent years, Baikie has been managing SAC Consulting’s regional offices

Ramsay already worked as an agricultural consultant at SAC for the last nine years before moving into the beef and sheep specialist team. Ramsay will continue to be based in the Ayr advisory office.

New role

Meanwhile, SAC Consulting’s George Baikie is moving to a new role to manage all farming operations across Scotland’s Rural College (SRUC).

Baikie was born on a farm in Aberdeenshire.

He joined SAC Consulting in 1989 and managed the office in Kirkwall from 1999 until 2015, before running the Highland region from there.

In recent years, Baikie has been managing SAC Consulting’s regional offices.

SRUC manages six research farms, of over 4,400 ha to provide research, education and knowledge transfer in dairying, arable, beef, upland/hill sheep systems, pig and poultry farming.
