UK agricultural tractors registered that exceed 50hp have fallen below figures for the same month last year. In fact, the decline is almost 15% at 947 units which is 161 units less than the number sold in September 2016.
According to Stephen Howarth of the AEA (Agricultural Engineers Association), in 2016 a lot of dealers ran end-of-series promotions meaning registrations were a third higher than the year before in both September and October. For that reason, a decline was to be expected, with another expected in the current month.
Registrations remain 8% up on the first nine months of 2016 at 9,058 units.
