Radio Drama

Radio Drama finalists are currently being streamed on the Macra podcast.

The final will be held on 7 May at 8pm on Facebook live with judge and special guest Seamus O’Rourke.

Congratulations to all clubs in the finals and well done on the great work put into all dramas that have been streamed over the past few weeks.

The National Quiz is back for a second year and will be held online.

Dates to note:

  • Regional semi finals: 14 May
  • Final: 21 May
  • Dairy Stockjudging

Dairy Stockjudging will be taking place in an online format again this year.

County rounds may be run physically if members so wish, once the risk assessment and guidelines drawn up by Macra head office are adhered to.

National office will also provide pictures if any county wish to complete their round online.

Please email mkowal@macra.ie if you would like to avail of this.

    Dates to note:

  • Closing date: 2 June
  • Final: 19 June
  • Summer plans

The committee is awaiting guidelines from both the Government and head office before any national summer activities can be finalised. Please continue with your county events/competition rounds following the Surviving to Thriving, back to activity last week. In the case of Poc Fada, only national winners are ineligible to compete, if a national round can proceed.

    Farm skills

Farm Skills has a new fencing element introduced this year. We would encourage counties to get involved in running some practice/tutorial rounds for members ahead of the competition, once adhering to the guidelines.

Members must keep up to date and adhere to all Macra and Government guidelines in place when participating in activities. If you have any queries, please contact your local Training and Development Officer.
