Immediately after its launch last year it The Valtra G Series was awarded the title Tractor of the Year 2021.

Earlier this year the G Series won the Red Dot Design Award for its G135 model but it doesn’t stop there. The G135 has scooped yet another accolade, winning the iF Design Award in the vehicles category for product design.

Winners of the iF Design Award are chosen by an international jury of 98 design experts. This year’s competition attracted 9509 entries from 52 countries.

The G Series has previously won the title of Tractor of the Year 2021 and the Red Dot Design Award.

Jurors praised the G135 model as the best overall package in its category.

Valtra’s industrial design and user experience manager Kimmo Wihinen said: “Winning in the highly competitive iF Design Award competition with the completely new Valtra G135 is really quite stunning.

“Never before has the same machine managed to grab an award at both the Red Dot and iF design awards, but that’s exactly what happened on Valtra’s 70th anniversary, which is undeniably a very nice cherry on top of the party cake!”

Wihinen commented on the jury’s praise of the tractors functionality as well as its design. He added: “These are ultimately work machines, and we really focus a lot of attention on usability and work efficiency, which also have a big impact on the daily lives and work of our customers.

“For example, the very low engine cover, the narrow front frame, the large panorama window and the easy-to-use interface are not just design considerations.

“Above all, they contribute towards an agile, compact and productive front-loader tractor.”

The G Series was the first of Valtra’s fifth generation tractors to be unveiled. Introduced to fill the gap between the A and N Series tractors. The five models range from 105hp up to 135hp (110hp to 145hp with boost).
