Last Sunday saw 26 finalists take to the show ring at Trim show in Co Meath for the final of this year’s FBD / Irish Shows Association / Irish Farmers Journal All Ireland Young Stockperson competition.
Now in its sixth year, the competition has gone from strength to strength. All of these cattle enthusiasts have spent their summer on the road attending local shows around the country, honing their skills for the finale in Trim last Sunday. The Irish Farmers Journal is very proud to be involved in this national competition alongside FBD Insurance and the Irish Shows Association. Well done to all the exhibitors on Sunday and to Trim show for showcasing the event. For a full report see pedigree editor Nevan McKiernan’s coverage on pedigree pages 47-48.
