The launch this week of Kinisla, the new identity for Kerry Dairy Ireland, was another milestone on the journey of the business back to its roots as a farmer-owned dairy processor.
The dairy business had become an increasingly small part of the Kerry Group and the relationship between farmers and senior management had become strained as a result.
The purchase by the co-op in late 2024 of the majority of the business was the right deal for both sides.

But more importantly, the company is now starting to look and act more like a co-op than a profit-driven multinational. Co-ops were founded on the idea of community and if Kinisla keeps its focus on that, then further success is sure to come.
