This week there is a free 96-page magazine with the Irish Farmers Journal called 2020 Vision. Essentially, it is a publication with contributors from across the world looking back over the last 10 years with a view to looking forward to the next 10 years.
There are a number of specifically dairy-related articles such as: Dairying drives land use change, Food trends, Building a sustainable dairy future and Global grain production, and there are also a number of very closely related articles covering issues that will affect dairy enterprises.
In this short video, I'm joined by Andy Doyle and Phelim O’Neill from the Irish Farmers Journal to discuss the 2020 Vision publication. Andy also discusses what happening in the tillage sector while Phelim discusses the recently agreed PGI for beef and the next steps in the application journey.
The Irish Farmers Journal is hosting a webinar titled: Sustainability and Agri-food – the next decade on Tuesday 3 November at 3pm. Featuring Tom Arnold, chair of the Irish 2030 Agri-Food Strategy Committee along with Tara McCarthy of Bord Bia, Dr Mark Lyons of Alltech and Juan Aguiriano of Kerry Group.
