A special entry of almost 100 in-calf heifers from Will and Gareth Corrie, Newtownards, Co Down, were forwarded for sale in Ballymena Mart on Wednesday evening.

The 'Leading Ladies' sale from the Drumhilla herd is now firmly established as an annual event. With the mart packed to capacity, buying competition was fierce.

Prices peaked at £3,350, with all lots sold to an average just shy of £2,000.

All heifers are in-calf to Limousin bulls and due to calve in early 2020.
