Met Éireann is finally forecasting a drier week than normal for the coming seven days, after another abnormally wet week. Rainfall was close to three times above average along the south coast in the past week. Temperatures, too, are due to cross above long-term averages this coming week, but sunshine and drying conditions will remain poor and showers will continue to feature, with heavier rain at the weekend. Most soils will remain untrafficable.
