According to Met Éireann, Friday will begin dry and bright in eastern areas soon turning to rain with isolated thundery bursts possible by early afternoon. Later in the afternoon it will become brighter and fresh with sunny spells and showers. Highest temperatures of 18°C to 23°C.

Friday night will be mainly clear with some showers. Lowest temperatures of 9°C to 12°C are to be expected.

Saturday

Saturday will bring a mix of sunny spells and showers. In the afternoon and evening, some of these showers will be heavy and prolonged but will gradually die out during Saturday night. Moderate southwest breezes are to be expected with top temperatures of 15°C to 19°C.

Sunday

Sunday is set to be a bright day with sunshine and showers. Temperatures will reach 15°C to 19°C with moderate southwest breezes. On Sunday night there is a possibility of persistent rain in the south for a time.

Week ahead

Monday will be bright with sunny spells along with a few showers in Ulster and Connacht, while many places will remain dry. Tuesday will be a wet day with spells of heavy rain. Sunny spells will return later in the week with consistent showers.
