Friday

Friday is forecast to be a bright day with further heavy scattered showers. Highest temperatures will vary between 6°C to 10°C in fresh westerly winds.

Met Éireann has said that a spell of persistent and heavy rain will spread into the southwest early Friday night and become widespread overnight.

Saturday

It will clear in the southwest by Saturday morning and lowest temperatures on Saturday will be from 2°C to 6°C at the start of the day.

On Saturday morning, rain is forecast to clear in the north and northeast and will be followed by a few bright or sunny spells and isolated showers.

However, a further spell of rain will push into the southwest by evening and Met Éireann has said top temperatures will range from 6°C to 12°C. The coolest of these will be in the north.

On Saturday night, the rain will become widespread, but current indications suggest it will clear by Sunday morning.

Sunday

Outbreaks of showery rain are forecast on Sunday but there are some dry periods in store too with a few bright or sunny spells.

Afternoon temperatures will range from 7°C to 12°C or 13°C, in mostly light variable winds.

It will continue rather unsettled in the early days of next week with a risk of frost on Monday night and a spell of heavy rain on Tuesday.
