After a cold start, Monday will be a dry day and good sunny spells will develop, the best of which will be over the midlands, south and east, according to Met Éireann.

It will become cloudier across the west and north during the afternoon and evening as southwest breezes develop there; winds will stay light variable elsewhere.

Highest temperatures will range from 10°C to 12°C.

It will remain largely dry overnight on Monday, with a fair amount of cloud in western and northern counties but some clear spells elsewhere.

Minimum temperatures will range from 2°C to 5°C under clearer skies but range from 6°C to 9°C under cloud. Southwest breezes will increase fresh along the northwest coast.

Tuesday

Met Éireann has said it looks set to be a predominantly dry day on Tuesday but it will be mostly cloudy with a few patches of light rain or drizzle in Atlantic coastal districts.

The best of any sunny intervals will be in the east and southeast of the country. Highest temperatures will range between 10°C and 13°C in moderate to fresh southwest breezes.

Outbreaks of rain will move in across Connacht and Ulster overnight but it will hold mainly dry elsewhere. Minimum temperatures will range from 7°C to 9°C in moderate to fresh southerly winds.

Wednesday

Scattered outbreaks of rain are forecast across the country on Wednesday, with the odd heavy burst.

Met Éireann has said highest temperatures will range from 12°C to 15°C in moderate southerly winds. A few patches of rain are forecast overnight but it will become mainly dry with some mist forming. On Wednesday night, minimum temperatures will range from 4°C to 7°C in light northwest breezes.

Thursday

Current indications for Thursday suggest it will be cool and mostly dry day on Thursday, with some sunny spells. Highest temperatures will range from 9°C to 12°C in light breezes.

Friday

Met Éireann has said there is still a good deal of uncertainty on the forecast for Friday but the latest indications suggest an area of rain will move in from the south accompanied by freshening southerly winds.
