Monday

On Monday, rain in the northwest will gradually spread southwards during the day. Met Éireann has said that the rain will be light and intermittent and amounts will be small again in most areas.

Drier weather with just showers will follow into the north in the afternoon. Temperatures will vary between 9°C to 11°C but it will turn cooler later on.

It is forecast to continue breezy with fresh and gusty southwest veering northwest winds, strong and gusty at times on the north and northeast coasts.

Met Éireann has said that it will be largely dry on Monday night with clear spells, with minimum temperatures of 1°C to 5°C with moderate to fresh northwest winds.

Tuesday

Tuesday is forecast to be generally dry with sunny spells, with highest temperatures of 5°C to 9°C in moderate northwest breezes.

On Tuesday night some rain will develop, mainly over northern parts, with most of the south staying dry, according to Met Éireann. Lowest temperatures on Tuesday night will vary between 3°C to 6°C.

Wednesday

Wednesday is forecast to be mostly cloudy with scattered outbreaks of rain and drizzle, but rainfall amounts will be small.

Highest temperatures on Wednesday will range between 8°C to 10°C in light westerly winds. Most areas of the country will be dry on Wednesday night, Met Éireann said, with lowest temperatures of 4°C to 7°C.

Thursday

Current indications from Met Éireann suggests that Thursday will be a generally dry day, with some sunshine breaking through.

Friday

The high pressure weather system over Ireland at the moment will become less dominant but the dry weather looks set to remain until Friday night.

The weather looks set to turn unsettled at the weekend.
