Today will be a fresh day with some sunny spells at times, but some cloudy periods too. Dry apart from the odd light shower in northern areas. Top temperatures 14°C to 18°C, best in southern coastal counties.

Dry and cold tonight, with clear spells. Lowest temperatures of 5°C to 9°C in light variable breezes.

Friday

Tomorrow, Friday, will be another bright day. Some sunny spells at times in all areas with top temperatures 16°C to 20°C. Best values in east Munster and south Leinster.

Friday night will be quite a cool night, with lowest temperatures of 5°C to 8°C in slack variable breezes. A few patches of mist in places also.

Weekend

Mostly dry, settled weather in store. Some cool nights over the weekend, but becoming progressively milder by day and sunnier also. Saturday will be a dry, mild day. Some sunny spells, but some cloudy periods too.

Warm on Sunday with temperatures in the low 20s in many places. Some warm spells of sunshine too, but the sunshine is likely to become more hazy in nature.

Warm or hot well into next week, with temperatures in the mid 20s with the only chance of rain being a few thundery showers towards midweek.
