Monday

It will be a frosty start to the week as overnight temperatures drop to -4°C in some places, especially the north of the country. The day will clear but remain cool.

Tuesday

There will be fresh southeasterly breezes with higher temperatures of up to 10°C. There will be some sunny spells but a few isolated showers over Connacht.

The day with be punctuated with patchy rain and drizzle over much of the country.

Wednesday

Widespread heavy and lengthy showers are expected on Wednesday, especially in the south and east of the country.

Nights will continue to be cold, with temperatures dipping to between 3°C and 4°C.

Thursday/Friday

There will be frequent showers during Thursday and Friday, with southeasterly winds and daytime temperatures of between 7°C and 10°C.
