The Irish Farmers Journal is seeking a digital revenue strategist for its Dublin office.

Farm work

USIT, Ireland’s student, youth and independent travel services is looking to fill up to 15 jobs in Canada across dairy, beef, grain and pig farms.

Farm Solutions has 31 vacant farming jobs, 29 of which are farm workers across a range of farm types, with the other two openings as dairy farm managers.

FRS is seeking up to 100 people to work in farms across the country. It has nearly 90 full-time and part-time farm relief positions available across Ireland, which includes dairy milkers, herdspersons, lambers and tractor operators.

In addition, it has farm management roles in dairy, arable, and poultry farms. FRS Fencing is also hiring five full-time fencing operators at the Expo.

Engineering and mechanics

McHale will be hiring engineers in the following roles: design engineers, electronic engineers and sales support engineers. It is also seeking welders and fitters at the Expo. Claas is seeking service engineers in Cork and Enfield. It is also seeking to employ an apprentice land-based engineer and a store parts assistant in Enfield. Additionally, there are work placement opportunities in support and service engineering.

USIT has a number of opportunities in Canada for mechanics. It is looking for mechanics to work with agricultural machinery and trucks on a large grain farm in western Canada. Murphy Motors in Kilkenny is seeking an agricultural mechanic, a parts person and a trainee parts person, while Colm Quinn BMW is looking for a senior mechanics technician but is also taking on an apprentice mechanics technician.

Arrabawn is seeking an electrician and an apprentice electrician while Liffey Meats in Ballyjamesduff has two fitter jobs on offer.

There are process engineers wanted in Glanbia (Ballitore) and in Zoetis (Rathdrum). Dawn and Kepak are both hiring graduate engineers as part of their respective graduate programmes.

The Department of Agriculture, Food and Marine is hiring engineers and is also seeking a port craftsperson.

Teagasc, meanwhile, is looking to hire a buildings specialist.

Kerry Group is recruiting a maintenance manager, maintenance planner, process engineer and an engineering manager for its Charleville plant while it is seeking a continuous improvement technician in Monaghan.

FRS, Agritech and Grassland Agro are hiring full-time sales advisers, with FBD also looking to fill a sales executive role on the day.

Arrabawn is hiring a sales manager, a marketing and communications executive and for its agribusiness stores it is seeking sales reps.

Kerry has a number of openings in this area which include a sales rep, marketing manager, as well as many graduate roles across sales, marketing, and supply chain.

Colm Quinn BMW has a number of sales roles available, including a showroom host, a services advisor, an after-sales manager and senior and junior sales executives.

Teagasc is looking for research officers and research specialists in tree development and in emissions.

It offers up to 50 places on its Walsh fellowship programme each year to postgraduates in agriculture, food, environmental science, agri-food economics, rural development, horticulture, and other related disciplines. Liffey Meats is seeking 25 skilled packers and 10 trimmers for its Ballyjamesduff plant.

Arrabawn is also hiring production operators located in Nenagh, Ballinasloe and Limerick.
