The Wicklow Calf Company is looking to buy 500 young Angus bulls of 200kg to 250kg for an order it has secured to a new, non-EU market.

The bulls will go into quarantine and then be delivered.

The firm said it plans to return to exporting weanlings and that it has been working to secure customers in this market for two months.

"This is a first trial order," a spokesperson said. "If it goes well, there is potential to export higher numbers there and to include higher weights."
