A 15-month-old Limousin-cross young bull is suspected to have been stolen from a farm in Ryefield, Virginia, Co Cavan.

Meath farmers Bridget and George Flynn, who live in Oldcastle, Co Meath, but farm in Cavan, are appealing for information after they noticed that a young bull from their herd of 78 cattle was missing.

Speaking to the Irish Farmers Journal, Bridget said: “We have combed the land for him and none of our neighbours have seen him. There is no other explanation for it,” she said.

The Limousin-cross bull has a tag number of 372-224334290683.

The Flynns noticed the bull was missing in late November and have notified gardaí in Bailieborough of the theft.
