The 75hp Zetor Major CL 80, a model heralded by the Czech manufacturer as one of its most popular, has undergone a number of updates.

The major update is the move to a Stage V four-cylinder 2.9l Deutz engine. Stage V emission standards are met by means of diesel particulate filter (DPF), exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) and diesel oxidation catalyst (DOC) technology.

Zetor has said the move to Stage V has resulted in further design improvements of air brakes, air inlet, engine cooling and the mechanical regulation of hydraulics.

Customers now have the choice between the Standard cabin or Plus cabin.

The Standard cabin is offered with a conventional hard roof or a Falling Objects Protective (FOP) Structure-type roof with a sunroof.

As well as the option of air conditioning, the mechanically suspended seat can be fitted with arm rests and head support.

Customers now have the option of an air suspended seat and a passenger seat

The Plus cabin also offers the normal hard roof or the FOP sunroof option. Air conditioning is fitted as standard, so too are arm rests and head support for the mechanically suspended seat.

Customers now have the option of an air suspended seat and a passenger seat, if required.

There are now two cab options, the Standard cab and the higher specification Plus cab.

The Plus cab also offers non-slip pedals, an adjustable steering column and improved ergonomics of rear hitch and linkage control as well as PTO mode.

Switch gear too is identical to larger models with differential lock control also improved.

Being a stockman’s tractor, the Major CL has been designed to suit a front loader. According to Zetor, the tractor is loader joystick ready and compatible with low-bean roof lamps.

The Major CL is fitted with a 12F + 12R transmission. In total, there are four manual gears and a three-stage reduction with mechanical reverse.

The hydraulic circuit offers a flow rate of 50l/min.

Further options include front linkage and PTO as well as a range of tyre options.
