Four con saws, a power washer and power pack, and two chainsaws were stolen from Kalzen Tool Hire on the Boyle Road in Carrick-on-Shannon.
The incident occurred at appropriately 8:25pm last Friday night, according to Dermot Foley from Kalzen Tool Hire. Three men were involved in the robbery, which resulted in the loss of €10,000 worth of equipment. They were driving a 2002 silver people carrier with a south Tipperary registration.
“We watched it back on the CCTV camera and in less than five minutes the whole thing was over, we couldn’t get over how quick it was”, Dermot said. “The alarm was going off, but they stayed very relaxed, it obviously wasn’t their first time doing this.”
