Over €700m in advance payments will start to flow to farmers from 16 October, the end of next week. It will be €200m higher than was paid out in last year due to the EU Commission allowing the advance be boosted from 50% to 70% to combat low incomes across Europe.
Over 100,000 farmers will potentially start seeing the money in their accounts shortly afterwards.
Another 3,059 received their ANC payments in the last week. This brings the number of farmers paid to 70,000 and these farmers are cleared for the advance BPS payment as well.
