Following a meeting of the board of Arrabawn this week, the Tipperary co-op Arrabawn has decided to raise the October base milk price by 1.5c/l. This brings the co-op’s milk price for October to 26.78c/l excluding VAT.

Aurivo, formerly Connacht Gold, also announced on Thursday that the milk price for October will be increasing by 1.25c/l to 25.6c/l excluding VAT.

Two of the four co-ops in the Carbery Group in west Cork have also set their October milk prices. Drinagh co-op has applied Carbery's increase of 1.5c/l taking its October milk price to 27.6c/l. However, Lisavaird co-op is increasing prices by 1c/l to 27.1c/l.

The majority of co-ops have now set milk prices for October. Lakeland's price increased by 1c/l to 25.6c/l, Glanbia went up 2c/l to 26.7c/l (including a 1c/l co-op support), while Kerry went up 2c/l to 26.7c/l. Prices reported are excluding VAT.
