Blooming great festival

Now in its 10th year, the Bord Bia Bloom festival takes place from Thursday 2 June to Monday 6 June in the Phoenix Park.

Irish Country Magazine's Serene Sanctuary has won a gold medal at Bloom 2016.

More than 100,000 people are expected to attend over the course of the bank holiday weekend.

When Bloom opened in 2007, 40,000 people attended the event.

President Michael D Higgins will officially open the five-day festival mid-morning on Thursday.

Irish Country Magazine won a highly prestigious gold medal for its garden at Bloom. This is the second year in a row it has scooped the top award.

Record attendance at Bloom 2016

Almost 115,000 people attended Bord Bia’s 10th Bloom festival in the Phoenix Park over the June bank holiday weekend, a record attendance for the five day event.
