Those looking for 30 to 40 acres in the Trim/Longwood area should schedule the first and second week of October into their diaries.

Selling agent Thomas Potterton, Trim, is offering three nice packages for sale in The Property Exchange, Trim – two of which are within a mile of Trim town, while the third is out the Longwood road.

46 acres at Newhaggard

Starting with Newhaggard, Trim, a lovely 46-acre farm will be auctioned on 5 October next at 3pm. Set out in three stubble fields, the land fronts the main Trim/Kinnegad road and is described as “very good quality”.

On the same day, Thomas will also auction a 31-acre parcel at Kiltoome, Trim. Fronting the old Trim/Navan road, this land is less than a mile from the town and is laid out in two grass fields. It also has extensive frontage to a cul de sac and would suit the construction of a house subject to the appropriate planning. It goes to auction on 5 October at 3pm and is guided at €240,000 to €250,000.

37 acres near Longwood

The following week (11 October at 3pm), Thomas will auction a 37-acre holding at Moneymore and Trim Road, Longwood, Co Meath. Set out in two separate blocks, circa 23.17 acres are located on the Trim side of Longwood while the remaining circa 13.6 acres are situated on the Kinnegad side at Moneymore.

Used for grazing over the years, the 23.17 acres is divided by the road with circa 7.29 acres found on one side and circa 15.9 acres on the other. The seven acres is laid out in two fields and bounds a river, while the 15.9 acres is in three fields and has dual frontage to the main Trim/Longwood road and to a cul de sac.

Meanwhile, the 13.6 acres at Moneymore is laid out in three fields, is intersected by a stream and has frontage to the main road. Described as “reasonable quality grazing”, the entire 37 acres is guided in the region of €7,000/acre.
