Gardaí said they stopped a van containing a large amount of new and secondhand power tools with an estimated value of up to €26,000 in May at a checkpoint in Cloughran, Co Dublin. No arrests were made at the time but investigations are ongoing.
While many of the tools seized are specialised mechanics' items likely to have been taken from garages, the photos published also include tools commonly found on farms including a chainsaw and a power washer.
Gardaí believe that some of the tools may have been stolen in the UK and Northern Ireland.
If you think you may own some of the property, email ballymun_ds@garda.ie or contact gardaí in Ballymun on 01 666 4493. Proof of ownership will be required.
