Peter Young is a full time journalist with the Irish Farmers Journal where he has worked for the last 16 years. During that time he has written extensively on dairying, beef, farm finance and more recently CAP reform. He has developed the On-off farm section that focuses specifically on innovation, new trends and starting a new business in rural Ireland. More recently as the money mentor, he writes weekly on personal and business finance. His most recent initiative is operation cash flow which is focused on getting people to develop financial plans for their future. Peter is a Qualified Financial Advisor and a member of the Insurance Institute of Ireland and LIA, the Professional Association of Financial Services. With his wife Jenny he runs a 100 cow dairy farm in Kildare.
