Bracknagh Tractor Run's cheque presentation for €8,500 to Our Lady's Hospital Crumlin.
The organisers of the Innishannon Steam and Vintage Rally presented a cheque for €65,000 to the Irish Cancer Society (ICS) from the proceeds of their rally held over the June bank holiday weekend this year.
Over the past 19 years, the rally has raised over €1,340,000 for the ICS. The rally organisers are now aiming to break the €1.5m mark in the coming years as the event gets bigger and with larger fundraising. The presentation was made on behalf of the committee by Martin Desmond (chair), PJ Ryan and Jim Finn (treasurers) to Eileen Kearney (ICS Munster coordinator) and Pauline Coomey (ICS night nurse). Next year, the 20th anniversary rally takes place on 4 and 5 June 2017.
