Grass covers in most areas are reported to be better than expected, with many fields showing good growth over the winter months. The target should be to follow a spring rotation plan and on drier farms the aim should be to have 40% of the grazing area grazed by 17 March.

On wetter farms, this date moves to 31 March. The target is to have the first rotation completed by the first week in April on drier farms and by the middle of April on wetter farms.
