Demand for Angus and Hereford stores was back slightly. The majority of these were making from €1.85/kg to €2.00/kg, with Friesians making about €1.80/kg. Demand for good-quality weanling bulls was strong and prices ranged mainly from €2.25/kg to €2.50/kg. The best trade on the day was for Friesian runner calves, who were met with very strong demand. There were few Angus and Herefords on offer, but a good run of well-shaped spring-born Friesians made from €350 to €380.
