Monday

Monday will start off with scattered patches of rain, along with mist according to Met Éireann.

Brighter weather arriving in the west around midday will extend east during the afternoon.

Highest temperatures 9°C to 12°C.

Monday night will be dry with long clear spells and light winds. It will be a cold night with a widespread ground frost developing. Minimum air temperatures 0°C to +3°C, coldest inland where frost will be sharp.

Tuesday

Tuesday will remain dry in most areas with good sunny spells during the morning, but cloud will increase from the west.

Outbreaks of rain will affect the south west during the forenoon, before spreading to other parts of Munster and Connacht during the afternoon.

After a chilly start, temperatures will recover to range 8°C to 10°C by afternoon.

Tuesday night will be mild and windy with scattered outbreaks of rain accompanied by strong winds, low cloud and mist.

Outlook

Rain will be more widespread on Wednesday with strong to gale force winds.

The rain will be heavy and continuous in many areas - especially across the south and with extensive hill mist.

Temperatures will range 9°C to 11°C.

The rain will clear east overnight and Thursday will be a brighter day, with good dry spells, though showers will be widespread and frequent.

Friday will be another bright day with sunny spells, and apart from the odd shower, the day will be dry.
