The first of two farm thefts occurred while a farmer was loading bales in Hospital, Co Limerick. Two men are believed to have been involved and took the farmer’s phone and wallet from the cab of the tractor.

Gardaí said: “We are investigating the theft of a wallet and a phone from a tractor at Old Town, Hospital, at 8am on 30 June. A small blue car was seen leave the area.”

In a separate incident in Kilmallock, Co Limerick, a farmer returned from milking at 8.45am on 30 June to discover his jeep had been taken.

The jeep was recovered the following day. Gardaí are currently investigating.
