A range of baby milk products made in Ireland by French dairy processor Danone have been criticised by parents saying a new formula made their children sick.
The manufacturer received hundreds of complaints on social media in the UK after modifying the recipe and mixing instructions for its Aptamil Infant, Follow On and Growing Up milks.
Some parents said their children suffered from vomiting or diarrhea after switching to the new version of the
products and posted photos
of milk curdling in baby
bottles.

A spokesperson for Danone Ireland confirmed to the Irish Farmers Journal that the new milks were made in Ireland and sold here and in several other countries.
They said that extensive clinical trials and quality tests had shown them to be safe and well tolerated.
“Every baby is different and may take a little time to adjust to any changes in how they are fed,” the spokesperson added.
Danone produces most of its infant formula products for Europe at factories in Macroom, Co Cork and Wexford, with Aptamil being their leading brand.
