Several thousand farmers and energy professionals will take part in the free, KT-approved event organised by Teagasc, Tipperary County Council, the IFA, Tipperary Energy Agency, and Gurteen College on the college’s grounds in Co Tipperary on 21 August.

The event is sponsored by the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland, the Department of Agriculture, AIB, CPL Fuels and Tipperary local enterprise office.

What to see

This year, there will be three spaces dedicated to practical on-farm energy solutions; SSRH, biomass and forestry; and policies to deliver sustainable energy through agriculture. There will be demonstrations of wind, solar, wood and anaerobic digestion equipment and one-to-one clinics for farmers with engineers, lawyers, bankers and planners.

Minister for Communications, Climate Action and Environment Denis Naughten is expected to unveil more details of the Support Scheme for Renewable Heat and Renewable Electricity Support Scheme at the event.
