I see one seller on DoneDeal is harking back to an older style of trading in looking to swap one item for another.
In this case the seller in Galway is looking to trade hay for All-Ireland hurling tickets, so they can see Joe Canning and his teammates take on Limerick on 19 August. Following the last 12 months of extreme weather it is difficult to say if hay or tickets are harder to come by.
Given Cork, Kilkenny, Tipperary, and Wexford have all exited this year’s championship it is possible there may be some spare tickets in places where fodder demand is high. Alternatively, the seller is willing to accept €40 a bale.
