Amii McKeever became the 69th president of the Agricultural Science Association (ASA) at the organisation’s AGM, taking over from Macra na Feirme’s agriculture manager Derrie Dillon.
McKeever is the current editor of Irish Country Living and previously held positions in Glanbia and the Irish Farmers Association.
She has been a member of the ASA since 2004 and served on its council several times, most recently as vice-president.

Seamus O’Mahony from Dairygold was appointed vice-president and will succeed McKeever next year.
O’Mahony currently holds the position as head of sales and marketing at Dairygold Agribusiness.
