The second edition of the Energy Now exhibition showcasing renewable energy technologies for agriculture will take place in The Hub attached to Cillín Hill mart in Kilkenny this Wednesday and Thursday 24 and 25 October.

The event is free to attend and has partnered with the IFA and Teagasc to develop the range of exhibitors and talks.

Speakers on the Wednesday will include IFA renewables chair Tom Short, Teagasc energy specialist Barry Caslin, Ray Langton who has been leading the development of the Support Scheme for Renewable Heat at the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland and industry figures from the renewables sector.

On the Thursday, don’t miss the morning session, moderated by the Irish Farmers Journal, on why farmers should consider renewables.

Discussions

Further discussions on solar, bioenergy and energy efficiency and storage will include ICSA president Patrick Kent, Department of Agriculture and Brussels representatives.
