John O’Shea of O’Shea Farms and Iverk Produce passed away this week. He is remembered by his sister Margaret, brothers Tomas, Richard, Seamus and Joe, brother in law, sisters in law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

John grew up on the family farm in Ardclone, Piltown, Co Kilkenny. O’Shea farms now covers 1,500 acres.

Iverk Produce was established in 1980 by the O'Shea family to market quality fresh fruit and vegetables across the southeast and now works with over 40 growers.

Friends and neighbours remember John for his contribution not only to the farming sector but also to charities. Vita was one of the charities he was involved with, working on a potato project in Ethiopia and Eritrea.

Funeral details

John will be reposing at his home on Wednesday 10 October from 2pm to 8pm. Removal on Thursday to The Church of The Assumption, Piltown arriving for 11am Mass. Burial in the adjoining cemetery. Family flowers only, donations, if desired, to St. Brigid's Hospital, Carrick-on-Suir. Donation box at house and church.
