Gardaí have arrested a man in his 50s in connection with the Roscommon eviction case.
The man was arrested in Mayo and is currently being detained at Castlerea Garda station under the provisions of Section 30 – Offences against the State Act 1939 as amended.
Last month, a farmhouse was repossessed by private security personnel.

A number of vehicles were also set on fire and a dog had to be put down due to injuries it sustained
The personnel were then attacked overnight leaving eight injured.

The incident sparked a number of protests and the family involved has since returned to the property.
In a statement a Garda spokesperson said: “As part of ongoing investigations into an incident at Falsk, Strokestown on Sunday 16 December 2018 Gardaí have this morning, Thursday 10 January 2019 arrested a 54 year-old man in connection with this investigation.”
Gardaí said investigations are ongoing.
