Triplet cavles in Cork

John, Ann and Barry Walsh with their set of triplet calves born on their farm at Beechwood, Gaggin, Bandon, Co Cork. The calves - one heifer and two bull calves - were born at 3am on 20 January to a second calver and are the first ever triplets to be born on the farm. The Walshes milk 70 pedigree Holstein cows, so they have registered the calves and named them to mark the event. The heifer has been named Cathy after her mother, while the bulls have been named Kevin Barry and Buzz Aldrin, two famous men that were also both born on 20 January. \ Donal O’Leary
