Dammann DT2800

Dammann, the German-manufactured brand of self-propelled sprayers, made its FTMTA show debut in Punchestown yesterday.

The company exhibited its DT2800H S4 model, which is powered from a 285hp Mercedes-Benz engine. The machine is rumoured to have sold to a farmer/contractor in Wexford.

The entry-level DT2800 Profi-Class sprayer is available with tank sizes from 5,000l up to 7,000l. It also comes with boom widths of up to 42m.

The DT2800 Profi-Class has the lowest ground pressure available on a two-axle machine within its class.

The sprayers come with a new 360° panoramic view cab, providing a nice working environment for the driver. The 50km/h drive system, together with on-the-fly differential locks, allows the machine to take on wet fields and steep hills.

The DCD boom height control system, together with the Pro-boom contouring with positive and negative variable geometry, allows the operator to select any crop to boom height required.

The boom is available with 25cm, 33cm and industry-standard 50cm nozzle spacing. Dammann Vario-select gives up to 30 nozzle combinations, all selectable from the in-cab spraying terminal or automatically.

The new fluid indicator will display the pH level of the water in the tank to help minimise degradation of spray chemicals.
