The Global Dairy Trade (GDT) auction rose for the 11th time on Tuesday this week. It concluded with the price index up 0.4%.

Skimmed milk powder prices rose 2.8% to an average price of $2,521/MT (€2,254/MT).

Rennet casein rose 3.1% to an average price of $6,610/MT (€5,909), while the anhydrous milk fat index was up 1.4% to $6,217/MT (€5,558/MT).

The butter index was unchanged at $5,486/MT (€4,904/MT). However, butter milk powder was down 10.3% to an average price of $3,242/MT (€2898/MT).

Cheddar

Cheddar was down 2.4% to $4,217/MT (€3770/MT), while the lactose index was down 2.7% to $887/MT (€793/MT). Whole milk powder was down 0.5% to $3,249/MT (€2,905/MT).

There were 529 registered bidders for the auction, which saw 15,375MT of product sold. There were 179 participating bidders.
