Trade at the Portlaoise machinery auction last weekend remained strong, even with the good weather.
There was a surprisingly strong clearance rate, with 84% of the total 594 items being sold on the day.
A range of machinery was up for grabs, with certain pieces making over €8,000.

This Lemken 4m trailed disc harrow must have interested tillage farmers, selling for €3,600.
This clean example of a vintage Massey 35 with cab sold for €1,900.
This 16ft grain trailer auctioned off for just €1,650.
